PACKLEADER's 2008 season has found us working on a number of new species. I know it's only September, but we are already in the planning stages for 2009 -- with some exciting projects already in the planning stages. Be sure to contact us soon to get your project on the schedule.
During 2006 we added bats to the list of species located - this involved identifying both live individuals and guano. In 2008 we are adding some new applications and species. It's been a very exciting year for PACKLEADER, our clients and the dogs!! The dogs remain ready and anxious to get back in the field.
Bruiser left for Belize with Claudia in January and returned the end of August. Last report Bru is found lots of scats and and both he and Claudia did well during their extended project season.
Rick went through handler training with Cheryl Fimbrel preparing for a project with The Nature Conservancy on a new application and species - locating Checkerspot caterpillars.
Shadow and Steve are working for Pierce County!! A new application was developed -- utilizing the dogs to identify sewage leaks along the shoreline.
CJ and Barbara went to Nicaragua and worked on a project with Dr. Carol Chambers on pilot project involving location of spider monkeys.
Fargo got recognized for his work in identifying an invasive plant!! And there is a rumor he and Barbara made the cover of a scientific journal for his accomplishments!!
